What CookieDoo does

CookieDoo is a consent management platform (CMP). It shows your visitors a cookie banner, holds back cookies and scripts until they agree, and keeps a record of every choice.

The parts

  • Banner. Appears in the visitor’s language (25 languages), in your colours. Accept and Deny carry equal weight, as data protection authorities expect. A small button stays on the page, so visitors can change their mind at any time.
  • Blocking. Statistics and marketing scripts and cookies wait until the visitor agrees. Necessary cookies always work.
  • Google Consent Mode v2. The visitor’s choice is passed to Google tags (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager) automatically.
  • Cookie scan. A real browser visits your pages before and after consent, finds the cookies they set and sorts them into categories. Your cookie declaration updates itself.
  • Consent log. Every choice is stored with a Consent ID, so you can prove consent if a visitor or an authority asks.
  • Rules by country. Opt-in in Europe, and opt-out or no banner elsewhere if you wish (Pro and Business).

How the pieces fit

  1. You add your domain in the portal at app.cookiedoo.net and verify that it is yours.
  2. You paste one line of code into your website.
  3. The script loads your published banner from CookieDoo, shows it, and blocks what needs consent.
  4. The scanner visits your site on a schedule and keeps the list of cookies in the banner current.
